BREAKING: First Female Deputy Speaker of Lagos Assembly, Adetoun Adediran is Dead

Honourable Adetoun Adediran, a former Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, is dead.

Daily Report Nigeria gathered that the former lawmaker died early morning, on Wednesday, January 5, after a brief illness.

Adediran was the first elected female Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly and served between 1999 and 2003.

She has since held many other political portfolios, which include being the Women Leader of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

She was said to have been down an ailment for just two days before passing on Wednesday morning.
