Former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi has reportedly dumped the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
The 2023 presidential aspirant under the main opposition party is also said to have pulled out of the race to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to Peoples Gazette, Obi’s withdrawal from the presidential race is premised on fears that he could be humiliated at the forthcoming PDP convention slated for this weekend.
Peter Obi, who has been dubbed by many as the best candidate to rule Nigeria at this time is exiting the fray on the eve of a hotly-contested presidential primary lection.
The list of presidential aspirants under the PDP umbrella include former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike, Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal and a host of others.
