Former Niger Delta militant leader, Mujahid Asari Dokubo has brsndef Governor Nyesom Wike a nobody following his recent outburst against the Ijaw National Congress and the Ijaw Youth Council.
Governor Wike had in a thanksgiving service called thunder on the INC and IYC for issuing him ultimatum to release detained lawmaker, Farah Dagogo.
Dagogo, a governorship aspirants of the state under the Peoples Democratic Party, was arrested on April 28 on the order of Wike over alleged disruption of the party’s screening exercise for house of assembly aspirants.
The apex Ijaw body, INC and its youthful counterpart, IYC had called for the unconditional release of the lawmaker representing Degema/Bonny Federal Constituency in separate statements.
However, Governor Wike had said “thunder fire you and ultimatum” while reacting to the demands by the Ijaw groups.
Reacting to the outburst of the PDP presidential aspirant against his tribesmen, Asari said;
“If there was anybody who is to praise you, it should have been me. My sister is a beneficiary of your undemocratic party system, so I should be singing for you because the problem of my sister is off my back.
“My cousin is your deputy governor so I should be clapping for you. My friends and associates are in your government. If I have problems I’ll run to them, so I should be singing your praise.
“I don’t want to be commissioner, I don’t want to be anything. So why should I have problems with you? But you cannot assume, you cannot look at the entire Ijaw Nation and say thunder fire us, and you are a governor; you are nobody, let me tell you, you are nobody.
“They are just over hyping you and you too believed you are somebody. They are just over hyping you,” he said.
Asari reminded Governor Wike that his days as governor would soon be over, saying even his ambition of becoming president was a wishful thought.
“You will certainly go. Your days are numbered. That you will become president, what sort of wishful thinking is this?
“Like I said, if they give you president, if they say Wike come and become president, would you become? You don’t know yourself again?
“It’ll be the greatest disservice if anybody allows you near that place, Aso Rock. It’ll be the greatest disservice to humanity, to the black race,” he added.
Asari had earlier in April, described Governor Wike’s presidential ambition as ‘laughable’.
