FIFA has banned at least Eight English Premier League players from participating during the coming weekend games.
The ban is premised on the risk of the English Premier League clubs after expressing issues with the players traveling for international duty amid the UK’s strict COVID-19 regulations.
Those who arrive in the UK from red-listed countries have been required to spend 10 days in isolation.
The invocation of the Five-day rule requested by Brazil has affected several players in several clubs in the English Premier League.
The affected clubs include Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City and Leeds Utd.
Thiago Silva of Chelsea, Fred of Man Utd, Becker, Firminho and Fabinho of Liverpool, Gabriel Jesus and Ederson of Man City and Raphinha of Leeds Utd are all the affected players.
