Former Everton player, James Rodriguez had joined Al-Rayyan in Qatar on Wednesday.
The Colombian Midfielder had taken a contract with the club for an undisclosed fee.
A statement via Everton’s website confirmed this:
“James Rodriguez has left Everton to sign for Qatari club Al Rayyan for an undisclosed fee.”
Rodriguez who joined Everton from Real Madrid for £20 million in 2020 has had a brilliant start at Goodison Park.
Even so, he ran out of luck when Carlo Ancelotti who then took charge until the end of last season, lost faith in him drop by drop.
Benitez arrived in the close-season and did not involve Rodriguez in a single game before authorizing his sale.
