Shaun Wright-Phillips has told Callum Hudson-Odoi of Chelsea to walk away from Chelsea.
Former Chelsea and Man City star said that Hudson-Odoi’s glory is not at Chlesea.
Wright gave the useful piece of advice as Chelsea are clashing against Aston Villa today in Carabao Cup.
Bayern Munich had persistently shown interest in the Chelsea’s Winger in days gone by but the team did not release him.
The 20-year-old was born in Wandsworth, England on the 7th of Nov, 2000.
He was handed his senior debut in January 2018 following his U18 Premier League win plus FA Youth Cup Title.
Since Odoi joined Chelsea’s senior team in 2017, he has managed to net just 3 times in over 90 appearances.
Hence, Wright adviced him to leave Chelsea and Join a new club if he was to shine and become the best player he can possibly be.
Wright says to Metro UK: ” I think whether he decides to realise his full potential or stick to being a fringe player is totally down to him. ”
“If he wants to be in and out of the team and play a role that he is doing now, then you stay at Chelsea.”
“But, if you want to play regular football and show everyone why Bayern Munich was thinking about buying him, then he’s going to have to walk away and prove to people how good he is.”
