Gunmen on Sunday May 23, attacked some communities in Anambra State, killing seven persons.
The gunmen reportedly invaded Isulo and Nanka, Orumba North Local Government Area, as well as Abatete in Idemili North Local Government Area.
It was gathered that the attack at Isulo left four siblings dead with their mother.
Two persons were also killed at Abatete, while another person was killed at Nanka Orumba North Local Government Area.
It was gathered that the gunmen stormed the communities and opened fire on the victims.
When contacted, the state police spokesman, Tochukwu Ikenga, said the details of the incidents were still sketchy.
Ikenga added that the command would talk about the incidents on Monday when they must have gotten a clear picture of what transpired.
In a similar story, gunmen on Saturday, beheaded Dr. Okechukwu Okoye, the lawmaker representing Aguta North Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly.
The lawmaker was kidnapped on Thursday with the gunmen killing his orderly, before his freshly beheaded head was dumped by a roadside two days later.
