Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has called on Nigerians to collectively work towards saving the country from imminent collapse.
Citing insecurity facing the country, the presidential aspirant said Nigeria needs a courageous person to lead the people, stressing that he is the right candidate for the job.
The governor stated this on Monday while addressing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) delegate in Maiduguri.
According to him: “Nigeria is dying and we must not allow Nigeria to die. We must rescue this country.
“I believe that Nigeria has hope. So, I want to run for the presidency of this country under the PDP.
“We were only hearing of insecurity in Borno, but now it is all over. Hunger doesn’t know Muslims or Christians; insecurity does not know North or South.
“We need somebody who have the courage to fight insecurity in this country and I want to tell you that I have that courage,”
