2023 presidential aspirant, Peter Obi has expressed displeasure with the recent killing of scores in Plateau State and Benue State.
The former Anambra State Governor described the massacre as horrific and unacceptable, calling on the government to find a lasting solution to security challenge facing the country.
The 2019 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) vice presidential candidate said the degree of the killings questions the government’s responsibility to protect lives and properties of citizens.
In a statement, the former governor said: “Nigeria must cease being a killing field. These numbers are human beings and loved ones of many families”,
“As a nation, we cannot be insensitive to the ongoing bloodletting and targeting of the most vulnerable and helpless in our society,”
